Hailing from Virginia, Parlor_Tonic oversees the overall running and design direction of the server. His Minecraft experience started way back in Alpha 1.2.6 and he’s loved it ever since.

Hailing from Missouri, “Ash” is a long-time Minecraft veteran with history dating back to 2011. He’s a problem solver with seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of anything Minecraft.

The Server
Midkemia is a Purpur SMP Minecraft server currently running version 1.21.11. As a community-oriented server, our goal is to keep the population cap reasonable, and provide an excellent experience to our members using a mix of premium and open source plugins. This is a server designed by adults, for adults looking for a better way to wind down and enjoy playing Minecraft with a community of mature members
The gameplay has been overhauled by MCMMO which helps keep things fresh and interesting. With MCMMO our members are able to level up skills for super abilities, and also gain bonus items while performing simple tasks (such as occasionally finding diamonds when they dig up sand). This also introduces a party system that allows them to seamlessly group with friends to accomplish their goals together, all while gaining extra experience and avoiding friendly-fire.
We use the Lands plugin to manage land claims and allow players to form their own clans (Lands/Nations). This allows our members to easily work together within their claimed area, free of worry of griefing. We have it set up to let members claim a decent amount of land chunks right away, with multiple in-game ways to increase the amount of claims. Worry not. Your builds and storage are safe and sound!
We provide a plethora of smaller quality of life plugins for our members. Members can “catch” animals and mobs in eggs, access virtual chests, mine mob spawners, trade from anywhere with a nifty GUI, retrieve items after death by returning to their gravestone, chat in multiple public channels and server donators can even create their own public and private channels.
Members of Medkimia can move up the ranks and gain even more special abilities just by playing on the server. Some examples include:
- Heal or Feed yourself
- Flying
- Turn any block into a hat you can wear on your head
- Use and create warps and private home teleports
- Teleport back from death directly to your gravestone
- Create holograms
- Use signs for a multitude of plugin functions
- Create shops to buy and sell almost anything
- Repair items using money
- Gain access to the Creative world
- Acquire “Kits” of items through simple commands
- Many…many more
On the server side of things, we use a suite of plugins to make sure that everything is running as smoothly as possible. Everything is kept up-to-date and fine-tuned to ensure a reliably enjoyable experience. Additionally, our Administrators have access to tools that can help you out in any situation.
